Official Opening of our Renovated Lower Hall Kitchen

With a grant from the Municipality of Central Elgin, funds raised at our Family Fun Fair and the support and hard work of many community members, we are pleased to celebrate our updated lower kitchen! Everyone is invited to join us for coffee, tea , treats and the unveiling, on Feb 27th from 7-8pm at the Sparta Community Hall - entry via the back door. 

Pot Luck and Games Night

Our annual community pot luck and games night will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. All are welcome. Bring your favourite board game!

Mobile Health Unit 

The Central Community Health Centre is bringing their Mobile Health Unit to Sparta on (most) Mondays from 9 am to 3 pm, at the Community Centre. The team brings essential care directly to where people are, ensuring accessible, equitable, compassionate healthcare delivery. Services include primary care, chronic disease management, mental health support, and health education. Services will begin Monday October 20, 2025. See the site calendar for the full schedule.

High Tea and Fashion Show

Save the date - Our annual High Tea and Fashion Show will be held on Saturday June 6, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Stay tuned for ticket details. 

Skatepark

Family Fun Day

Thank you to everyone who attended our Family Fun Day. We are grateful to our volunteers and donors for their generous support of our Community Centre. A special thank you goes out to the Union Fire Fighters and the Ultimutts team for making the day extra special. Visit our Family Fun Day page  for more memories of this wonderful day.
